Ina-Garten

Ina Garten is an American chef and author as well as Emmy Award-winning host for Food Network's oldest program Barefoot Contessa which debuted in 2002 and will run for 27 seasons to 2020. Ina started her career as a writer in the White House, writing the nuclear energy budget and other policy papers. She initially loved the intellectual stimulation of the job, but then stopped her interest. Instead she bought Barefoot Contessa, a specialty food shop. It took her 18 years to make the shop extremely popular before selling it off and picking up the pen to write her first cookbook. There were other cookbooks to follow, as the magazine column. Meanwhile she also had her own Food Network show was also an enormous success. Furthermore, she sells all kinds of cooking equipment, ingredients and containers. Ina she never went to cooking school, nor did she worked in an establishment. She is a complete self-taught. She is known for her easy approach to cooking and effortless take on entertainment.
