Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez was born in Mexico. She is an American Mexican actress. Also, she sings. She was raised by her mom throughout the USA she was subject to a lot of racial taunts that made her feel being unwanted. As she entered the 9th grade she started to feel more secure after being acknowledged by her teachers as a success for singing at a school's audition. She not only gained confidence through the audition, but she also changed the direction of her career. She graduated at the age of 22 with a degree from the Julliard School in New York. When she was 23, she started her professional career, making her debut on Broadway with Paul Simon's The Capeman and in films with You've Got Mail. The role of The lad from The Lake became her biggest success, and earned herself an award called the Tony Award in addition to critical acclaim for her role. In the following year, she was cast as the character Dr. Callie Torres in ABC's Grey's Anatomy. This led to her gain more fame. In addition to being a popular singer, she has released two solo albums and a longer piece. She is also an activist who is active for LGBT rights.
